Lydia, who has a BA Hons and a Masters degree in Town Planning, spent eight years working in development control for both Blackpool and Wyre Councils and is fully accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute.
“The planning system is very compicated but I can explain things and make it easier for people to understand,” she said.
Lydia, who offers a free consultation, will assess whether a client actually needs planning permission and, if they do, can deal directly with the council on their behalf.
She offers advice on all matters of planning applications, enforcement and appeals, including listed building consent, conservation area consent, advertisement consent and certificate of lawfulness applications.
She will submit applications, including writing submission documents and supporting statements, and also deals with all aspects of planning appeals.
In addition Lydia can carry out site appraisals for potential development proposals and meetings with the local authority.
