People driving past David Hall Carpets on Blackpool Road notice the stylish showroom and think the prices are sky high. They’re wrong.
“As an independent we can generally knock the socks off the bigger chains on price,” says partner Chris Hall (right).
This is because they are in a purchasing group of 400 UK retailers, giving big buying power to keep prices down.
“I want to say, come in and see us because we can cater for you. Whatever it is, we can get it - and we offer value for money,” added Chris.
You’ll get courteous and gracious service from Chris, 37, as well as the expertise of a family firm which was founded by his father and has traded for as long as he’s been alive.
The firm is run by Chris with brother Philip, 34, and manager Warren, 54 (also pictured).
They sell carpets ranging from £7 to £100 a square metre and supply laminate flooring, vinyl tiles, including ranges like Amtico and Karndean, vinyl (lino) and a wide range of rugs. A team of 10 fitters and a joiner fit products in the home.
Chris says staff will remove all furniture from a room, lay the carpet, dispose of the old one and replace furniture.
He says they seek to build long-standing relationships with customers, so they and their families will return.
And if for any reason you can’t come to them, they’ll come out to you – complete with sample books.
