Physiotherapists, Longridge, Grimsargh, Preston

You place your health in expert hands when you visit the Alderbank clinic in Grimsargh, Preston. Lee Barker and his wife Victoria (pictured) lead a team of six physios with a wide range of skills and experience.

“We want to emphasise our expertise,” says Victoria. “We actively recruit like-minded physiotherapists who are experienced and committed to excellent customer care. We want our reputation to be the best it can be – we are committed to providing a high-quality service and we do not compromise on the amount of time we spend with a patient.”

The husband-and wife team have forged their clinic’s reputation over 16 years and are not short on expertise themselves. Lee, 47, worked at Manchester’s Commonwealth Games in 2002 and the London Olympics in 2012, organising and delivering physiotherapy. He is also physiotherapist for Stonyhurst College and St Mary’s Hall, so sports and adolescent injuries are specialisms. Victoria, 48, like her husband, has well over 25 years’ experience, with 13 years in the NHS, including the Royal Preston Hospital. The couple have assembled a broad base of staffing skills so they can offer wide expertise. “We feel confident we can deal with anyone who walks through the door,” adds Lee.Treatments cover arthritic, orthopaedic and musculo-skeletal conditions, sports injuries, spinal conditions and neurological physiotherapy for stroke, Parkinson’s and MS patients. The six Health Professions Council-registered physios supplement ‘hands-on’ manual therapy with acupuncture, electrotherapy and rehabilitation exercises, including Pilates by trained physiotherapists. They work closely with orthopaedic consultants and provide an NHS service. The clinic also offers sports massage, podiatry (360 Footcare)  and counselling. It has parking, ground floor access and disabled toilet facilities. Lee adds: “We offer a friendly, professional atmosphere and look forward to assisting you to a full recovery.” CONDITIONS TREATED
